and Pripyat, Belarus, Europe and so on…on this day in 1986, the biggest nuclear disaster in history happened.

The effects of this tragedy, which killed, exposed to radiation and/or displaced between 31 and 400,000+ people (depending on which source you research) could even have been far worse, a second explosion was narrowly avoided by 3 men who saved ‘the world’  sadly and knowingly, by their suicidal bravery. It is said that this second explosion would have wiped out the whole of Europe and most of us would not be here today.
